![]() Me, too - DA2 was pretty badly received but I had a blast. Dragon Age 2 had some gloriously dysfunctional endings - I've never before been so frequently betrayed or disappointed by my disastrous companions, but I loved them for it. It makes the game much more juicy - knowing there are serious consequences to your choices. Vampire Masquerade Bloodlines was a good example of an RPG with multiple endings, at least two of which ended horribly for the character. But I think it adds something to a game when you can make wrong choices. I get that a "bad" ending are kind of wasted effort in a modern RPG - players will just read spoilers on the internet and avoid it. But the writers said it was just that Yesman would stop someone subverting him from your control, as you subverted him from Benny's. There is a line at the end where Yes-man says he is going to go off to get re-programmed to be more assertive, which I took to be a portent of imminent betrayal. I'm kind of annoyed they did not go with a betrayal ending. (That did happen once, when I walked in to House s casino with the platinum chip but refused to hand it over. I kept waiting for the Securitrons to push me into a sausage making machine or something. I guess we are suspicious of strangers who are too friendly and obliging from the start. r/galaxynewsradio - Fallout-sounding music r/falloutcosplayers - Fallout-related cosplay r/Wasteland - A subreddit for the Wasteland games. r/thefalloutdiaries - Journal-like fan fiction. r/falloutmods - Fallout modding community r/classicfallout - Classic Fallout Games r/falloutlore - The lore of the Fallout series Piracy is a permanent ban, no warnings.Īll posts and comments in end, come down to moderator discretion.
